Things To Do

Falcon Boats are delighted to have the opportunity to team up with the Tour of Pembrokeshire to offer some of our wildlife boat trips with a difference. We really enjoy being involved in this fabulous event that, as well as being a physical challenge, promotes getting out and enjoying Pembrokeshire’s breathtaking scenery.

We are a small wildlife boat tripping company that are passionate about sharing Pembrokeshire’s beautiful islands, coastline and stunning wildlife with our visitors. We are dedicated to responsible and ethical wildlife watching working closely with the RSPB and Sea Watch Foundation. With over 20 years experience of running wildlife trips, we know the environment and its species intimately, so not only do we know the best places to find them but also the signs to look out for to ensure we do not disturb them.  After the 2018 event, some of the Tour’s organising team enjoyed a few hours with us, they learnt lots and plan to do the same after next year’s event.

Grassholm & the Celtic Deep – Seabird, Whale & dolphin Expedition. 2.5hr
An expedition to the most remote of the Pembrokeshire islands, the offshore reefs and edges of the Celtic Deep. On this voyage our first stop is Grassholm Island home to the 4th largest gannet colony in the world. Here we will encounter over 80,000 gannets, Britain’s largest and most majestic seabird before we begin our search for porpoise, whales and dolphins. Cost – Adult £60/Child £30

Ramsey Island Explorer – 1hr
Join us for a fantastic fully guided exploration of the RSPB reserve of Ramsey Island. Experience close encounters with wildlife such as the Atlantic grey seal and harbour porpoise, marvel at the myriad of nesting seabirds and explore echoing sea caves. The Ramsey Island Explorer will leave you in awe of the beauty of the natural world. This trip is suitable for all ages. Cost – Adult £25/Child £12

Sunset Puffin & Shearwater – 1.5 hr
Witness one of the wonders of the natural world, as 360,000 Manx shearwaters return to their burrows at dusk. Explore Ramsey before heading offshore to the puffin colony on North Bishop. Sit among the shearwaters as they swoop around us, wingtips skimming the surface as the sun sets. The perfect end to the perfect day in Pembrokeshire. Cost – Adult £31/Child £17

Skomer Puffin and Seal watch – 2 hr
Journey to Skomer island to enjoy close encounters with the best known of Pembrokeshire’s auks, the puffin. These burrow nesting birds breed on Skomer in their thousands during late spring and early summer and are delightful to watch. We will also spend time observing some of Ramsey’s grey seals. Cost – Adult £48/Child £24

Are you a large group or family who would like to book the boat exclusively? We also offer the chance to construct your own bespoke trip, whether for photographers, artists, wildlife enthusiasts, special celebrations or just for fun. Let us create your perfect adventure. You could also book the boat for a ’Supper at Sea’ where we can provide a homemade picnic hamper for you to enjoy whilst soaking up the sunset and watching shearwaters fly past.
